Dog Park Grand Opening

Saturday, September 23 - 1 pm to 4 pm.

Southwest City Dog Park Grand Opening Celebration, Willmore Park - Dog Park, corner of Hampton, Gravois and Jamieson Avenues, northwest corner of the park adjacent to River Des Peres.

This is the Grand Opening celebration of the new dog park in the southwest St. Louis city area activities for you, and your dog, include: opening ceremony, attendance prizes and raffles, membership sign-up, treats from Tropical Moose Shaved Ice, and various vendors.

Please bring copies of up-to-date vaccination & rabies records.

Four-week psychoeducational group led by Jeanie Ransom, M.A., PLPC, NCC. Cost is $30 per week; $100 if paid in full at first session. New group starts monthly.

Trivia Night

Saturday October 7 - doors open at 6:30 trivia starts at 7:00,

Heartland Weimaraner Rescue Trivia Night, St. Justin the Martyr, 11922 Eddie and Park (Sunset Hills).

$18.00 per person / $144.00 per table / 8 per table. Price includes: beer, soda, water, snacks. Other fun! Door prizes, silent auctions,. 50/50 drawing, heads or tails. CASH PRIZES for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Benefiting the Heartland Weimaraner Rescue. The dog rescue is made up of all volunteers devoting time, love, and energy for our gray friends. The Weimaraner Rescue serves Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, and Kansas. We provide veterinary care, shelter, food, and rehabilitation until a forever loving home is found.

Indoor heated soccer arena with excellent footing, plenty of crating space and vendors. Hosted by Greater St. Louis Agility Club. Grand Prix, Steeplechase and Double Games offered.

Off-topic, but FYI

If the dog is afraid of loud noises, this won't help, but if the dog is afraid of thunderstorms - for example, the dog starts to become anxious before the storm even arrives - then I do know of dogs that have been helped by the storm defender cape, http://www.stormdefender.com . It does take a few uses/storms to become effective for most dogs (as it says on the site.)
